3 weeks with Mademoiselle

I just recently found and bought this lovely photographic book on Mademoiselle Chanel. I just loved the photos so much, of her dressed up like that waking in the street and working in her atelier. I mean she almost like a character.

The photo are superb and were taken in 1962 by the photographer Douglas Kirkland.

I just so loved all the shots, such an inspiration for even today. Her style is so elegant effortless and never gets old even though those photos are from beginning of the 60’s. It doesn’t age! I love her strong sense of identity and independence she carved for her self. I find her such an inspiration (especially after I read an autobiography about her last summer) and she is such a great role model for women to show that you can be successful and stand on your own.
