So again following with the dark mood, it’s black eyes all round, and lots of superpositions that only Dries Von Noten knows how to create. I have to say this isn’t my most loved collection, it’s too animal print to my liking, but I did love, (LOVE!!!) some the looks. It transpire more evening too, and much more wintery, (or maybe it just me? it’s very hot in Rio right now and living only with the fan on!) but it is of course as always a very lady like a bit darker but such an elegant lady that goes to elaborate parties for sure.
I am seeing a lot of this darker mood from the shows lately, Marc Jacobs surely was one of them, it’s all inspired from the pre world war decades, the 20’s, 30’s 40’s and surely is present in this show too. Maybe it’s the economic times that makes us feel this way? And also in the make up you see a much more defined black eyes or dark berry/wine lips like in Mary Katrantzou’s show.
Anyway going back to this collection, the men’s wardrobe is very present lots of suits, animal print, stripes all mixed up with fur, sequins and silk pyjama style trousers that are very elegant and figure lengthening. Lots of elements you can incorporate in how to dress and that why I love so much Dries everything is done so naturally and worn with so much chic.

Yes all the stress of moving out is finally behind me! (well there is still the small matter of getting all my stuff back to Paris! Don’t want to think about it yet…) No pictures needed as I have way too much stuff not a pretty picture to share!!
So Moving on to Dries Van Noten show, I am so so so in love with this collection!! It’s a cross between dream and reality, a regal smart urban effortless woman (kind of woke up like that!) (well definitely not this morning… haha side moving out joke…) So now not making any sense… moving out syndrome… Anyway enjoy the images.

I am in love with his new collection. Very relaxed and almost hippy. The girls looks like they just came out of bed and looking so nonchalant.

In Love with Dries Van Noten, this collection feels such like a classic Dries collection non? Maybe because he is having his own exhibition this year (which I will definitely go!! cant’t wait!!), everything feels like his own review of his own language. Did that make any sense? Not sure anyway enjoy xx

Dries Van Noten was inspired by the beautiful film that is Top Hat. So there was Fred & Ginger, women/men kind of a thematic in their collection. I love how all the element are mixed together, strass, feather, men’s shoes, fringes… I love all these element of clothing from the night and day. feathers night, with men’s flat (comfortable!) day. It’s like a lesson on how to be more relaxed with what you wear. Or more like recycle what you would normally reserve to wear in the evening, you can be more imaginative with those clothes and why not wear it with a chunky knit.
I particularly love this floral print. it is definitely getting my mood board for the next collection.
I so want to wear this look! this fringe number with a blue shirt and cropped cigarette trousers and brogues! So need to this this out!
