I am seeing a lot more autumnal colours for the spring summer collection that you are more used to see in colder months. It’s so interesting indeed! And Erdem had one of those darker mood with a little Victoriana romantic with it. So that means long ans sheer flowing dresses with darker colour way and a very autumnal feel to the collection. A total love for me definitely.
Again a darker mood at Giles and an even more Elizabethan affair!
From the Vogue runway review of the show (by Maya Singer) it says that:“The show was held in the Elizabethan-era Banqueting Room in Whitehall, a place to which the designer would often retire as a student to get away from hustle and bustle and take in the Rubens murals on the ceiling. He’d booked the space for this season a year in advance, and a deep dive into the history of the place led him back to Elizabeth, and provided him the inspiration for his new clothes.”
So this makes it clear as from where the whole collection came about, and I LOVE IT!!!
Such a rich extravagant collection and again very into this new autumnal mood that London is showing. And also lots of very famous models posing… into what looks sometime more like stage pieces than wearable clothes but that what London is for magical shows like this that makes you dream…
Is it just me or the spring summer is looking a lot more autumn like? Rich berry lips, porcelain skin, lace, sheer or even black? Yes this in a Spring collection.
To be honest this makes me happy, as some of you know already I am moving to Brazil and I am having a mix of bags of emotions. I am obviously super excited but weird about leaving winter behind..(but super happy at the same time!) But I am most sad to leave behind is things that you can wear in autumn like the colour like bordeaux burgundies, and lacy sheer black thing I do love to wear but now Burberry says it’s cool so I can! I can wear them in 40’s degree and it’s fine because burberry said so. (well I wouldn’t do it just because they said so.. but you know what I mean..)
Yes Marc Jacobs did it again, a very New Yorker show, full of personalities interesting and loud. I found interesting how now you can follow how you feel and express your self in how you dress and not necessarily follow trends. He is saying my yourself, ( as everyone else is taken!) and be proud be unique from a positive side of being individual and thats what find so cool and refreshing. Each girl is different and is allowed to be. Also the prints are wonderful and again all have different influences. It adds a richness to the clothes that bring them to life. So in fewer words, I LOVE IT!
Ok total randomness here, and even myself can’t make much sense of it yet, (must be the Jet Lag! Blame it on the jet lag darling..) Can’t seem to sleep at night which is super annoying!
But the big news is that from now on you my dearest Brazilians you can read my blog in Portuguese! Yes (Carmen!) you can finally read what I am talking about although most time even in English that can be difficult… Jokes aside I am very excited my blog will be either in english or if you wish in Portuguese. So I hope you will enjoy it!
With a random visual addition of my eyeliner skills I learnt from my dearest cousin back in New York. I love you and leave you! xx
So do you want a salad too? Right? Wonderful and amazing store that is the famous Didier Ludot store.
I know it well, (well it’s window!) I never got in as I know I will come out either with a crazy bill that I cant afford (which being somewhat sensible will never happen), but most probably I know I will come out feeling totally depressed I knowing I will never own such beauties that resides in that store. (Most to be honest are almost museum pieces!) I drool over the spectacular pieces in the window and that is enough for me.
Every Chanel show is continuing to be or having to be a show stopper or you can call it an instagram meltdown, and this time it’s Chanel Casino. With is private circle of invited, Julianne Moore (which I totally adore!) and Kristen Stewart, G Dragon Rita Ora, Vanessa Paradis and her daughter, a highly cercle very prive and very cinematic indeed.
So as most of you well informed people already know the Fall Haute Couture show has started!! And as you are so well informed you know by now that I am also late! but in fashion lateness is ok, and I have been enjoying too much my first 4th of July in New York, so I haven’t been blogging a lot… (and any spare time has been dedicated to my class presentation happening tomorrow at Parson’s, I will share with you all my mood boards and all once it’s over I can relax a little..)
Revenons a nos moutons, (meaning let’s get back to the subject here!) ZTHE COUTURE!! yes so I decided this time to put it all mixed up as it is nice to see together what designers are thinking and imagining in their looks.
Dior Fall 2015 Couture Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Couture Giambattista Vali Fall 2015 Couture Balmain Resort 2016 Ok I admit that’s the odd one out! but I found those intricate lacy (?) dresses so chic and very sexy couldn’t resist!! Schiaparelli Fall 2015 Couture in her signature pink obviously! I love that head drawing print (is that how you said it?) Anyway loved it..

I am soon going to Milan for an exhibition I am participating and is happening during the “Salon del Mobile”.
I am SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! Words can’t even express how excited I am!
However going with easy jet poses problems with what to bring, so me and my mom spent hours this easter weekend looking trying editing what to bring and wear in Milan. As we both need to look very chic, but with a limited amount of things… though task!
So here it goes, here you have my edited choice…
For the opening night of the exhibition (accidentally coinciding with my 30th birthday!) I will be wearing this gorgeous vintage long dress found at Portobello market, that I absolutely love! ( I adore the print so much!)
Along with the dress I will be wearing my pink silk scarf from La Carioca worn as a turban, and this lovely black clutch also vintage. ( mom gave it to me years ago for christmas)
After I obviously need some options for during the day but that works for night as well and still stylish enough…
Here is my all time favourite dress (and famous as I have been pictured countless time in it!) and is another vintage find. This one has a long story, my dad actually bought it for me while he lived in Portugal on a market from an old lady for me to play dress up. One of my favourite things to do! It was so big for me then! A few years ago I found it again in an old bag all crumpled and I tried it on and it fitted me perfectly!
This amazing suede and leather skirt is an wonderful purchase I made while I was working at Mulberry. I bought it for such a good price, and it is so so gorgeous! ( I am a bit paranoid when I wear it though, as I become instantly petrified and scared if any liquid comes near it.. I almost go into crazy mode!) this little sheer frilly top is a sale find on Asos I got a few years ago.
This beautiful dress is a very recent find and present from my step-father! Love it! It’s from Rodier, a French brand that no longer exist. that used to be very chic, and good quality, the label says made in France. The print grabbed me instantly and again fits me so well.
The colours came out a bit too bright on this silk shirt. It’s supposed to be a hot fuchsia with orange and turquoise. The print is from the AMAZING Celia Birtwell print designer and wife of the late Ossie Clark. I am totally obsessed with her and her work. She did a collaboration with Uniqlo a few years ago, and got this piece. This shirt looks so cool with the leather skirt you saw before.
That cool cardigan is from Topshop (found in the Selfridges concession, they always have good pieces there!) I just loved it straight away! It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but so needed to have it! I would have so much regrets otherwise.
This totally precious jacket doesn’t photograph too well, as the black goes grey, and to be honest looks a lot more incredible on than on the hanger. It has another (again!) vintage find in a lovely store on brick lane called Hunky Dory. It’s a real 40’s jacket in wool with those wonderful pockets that reminds me of the saharienne from Yves Saint Laurent (that was inspired evidently from the military’s style from the 40’s). There is so much lovely details I could go on and on about it! It fits me so so well, it grabs the waist so magnificently.
To finish here is the bag to polish all the outfits, this stunning clutch/bag in python and fringes. A very special present from my mother, so chic and quite 70’s in it’s style. Will go with everything!
With all my luggage done, all is left is what shoes to wear… I will be wearing with everything my classic black leather knee high boots from Russell & Bromley.
Sorted! Ouf! So much decisions, now I still haven’t even looked at jewellery yet… oh god it all starts again…
